Hi, I’m Chris—a photographer based in the Washington, D.C. area, originally born in Japan. My journey into photography began in 2017, when I picked up my first DSLR. What started as a hobby quickly grew into a passion for capturing landscapes, nature, cityscapes, and more recently, the sun and moon. I also love to travel and document the places I visit through photography, always looking for unique perspectives and moments that tell a story.

As I got more serious about photography, I took classes at the Capital Photography Center in Northern Virginia. Those courses helped me move from auto to manual mode and gave me the skills to grow creatively and technically.

Over time, my work began gaining recognition on social media platforms like Instagram and X (formerly Twitter). I’ve been fortunate to have my photos featured by both local and national outlets, including Good Morning America and Washingtonian Magazine. I’ve also been invited to photograph events and campaigns for organizations such as the National Cherry Blossom Festival, The Wharf DC, and the Trust for the National Mall.
